How to Register for WAEC in Nigeria

WAEC is the acronym for West African Examinations Council, an examination board based in Nigeria. It’s a popular examination board that provides exams for students who are looking to advance their education.

WAEC is one of the most important examinations in Nigeria. It is a certificate that you can use to get into any tertiary institution, from a diploma program all the way up to an undergraduate degree. The deadline for PIN Generation is Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Candidates who intend to apply must complete their biometrics capture and online registration by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

The cost of walk-in registration is N30,500.00 per applicant. Registration must be completed at least twenty-four hours before the scheduled time of the paper(s) for which you wish to sit.

Steps to Register for WAEC

If you want to register for WAEC in Nigeria, here are the steps you should take to apply online:

Visit the official website of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSC). You can find this by searching “WAEC 2022 registration” on Google. And click on the register button.

You must input your biographical information, which includes your gender, any disabilities, marital status, maiden name (if applicable), date of birth, country of citizenship, and state of origin. Please take note that your name, including spaces between the surname, firstname, and other name, cannot contain more than 40 characters. To indicate that you are not impaired, please choose NONE.

You must use a camera with at least the following specifications:* 2.0MP 720p USB 2.0 Color: Support for High Resolution RGB 2.0 megapixel sensor with Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certification frames per second of up to 30. The Microsoft LifeCam HD 3000 Webcam comes highly recommended. Remember that your photocard and certificate will both have the image printed on them.

You must choose the state and the city in which you want to take the exam. Your system will automatically assign you to the precise centre. Please be aware that once you’ve submitted your test, you cannot modify the town.

You have already been selected for English Language and Mathematics since they are necessary. The next step is that you must select the additional courses you wish to enrol in. Please be advised that the number of subjects is seven (7) minimum and nine (9) maximum (English Language and Mathematics inclusive).

After finishing the registration form, you must click the ACCEPT button in order for a preview of your data to appear. If you wish to make any changes at this time, look over your application and select EDIT.

When you successfully finish and submit your registration form, the system will assign you a centre and generate your examination number. The admittance notification and picture card must then be printed.

How to Get Your PIN

Candidates must receive the Registration PIN and Information VCD from any branch of one of the following banks or an authorised agency, and pay the registration charge of Eighteen Thousand Naira (N18,000) only. Approved banks includes:
